    EPHCC Launches New Program for
    Empire Builders
    ~ Jovenes Empresarios

Surrounded by eager and passionate young entrepreneurs and the future leaders of the borderland community, Thursday, December 15, 2011, The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce launched its inaugural program “Empire Builders ~ Jovenes Empresarios”.  The event united 25 of the leading and most promising young business leaders under 40.

The objective of this group is in response to gaps of young professionals represented at various levels: civic, corporate, and political within our city,” said Cindy Ramos-Davidson, CEO of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The Empire Builders ~ Jovenes Empresarios courses will cover those areas and build the skills necessary to participate as a productive community builder.

The program is geared towards the development of young professionals that are 40 years of age or younger who are owners of their own company and or management at the company they are currently with. Participants can expect to attain training over a twelve-month period beginning in January (2012) with a meet and greet. The first course is scheduled to take place in January followed by monthly classes held during the months of March, April and May with a mid-meet and greet held in June. The classes will then resume in July through October ending with a dinner in November. Dates and times will be provided to all active participants.

The inaugural class of the “Empire Builders ~ Jovenes Empresarios” will obtain a wide variety of educational and professional one-on-ones throughout the year. Participants will learn leadership and the importance of a leadership pipeline, leading change in an uncertain world, internal and external community strategies, how leaders keep score among other important leadership skills.

The young entrepreneurs and business professionals of our community are an essential component of the growth and development of our city.  Programs like this offer a unique opportunity for young professionals to attain skills, network and one-on-one partnerships with fellow established business leaders,” said Vincent Castro, Co-Chair of the “Empire Builders ~ Jovenes Empresarios” Program.

While the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrated the launch of the inaugural class of the “Empire Builders ~ Jovenes Empresarios”, the organization will be looking for future applicants for generations to follow. For additional information regarding the “Empire Builders ~ Jovenes Empresarios”, or to enroll for the 2013 class, please contact Cindy Ramos-Davidson via e-mail at at (915) 566-4066.
