The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be taking on Capitol Hill the week of March 22-24, 2010 for the annual legislative trip, HC to DC during a defining moment for the Nation's business community.
“It is of high importance that we voice our concerns to our legislative leaders and also represent our business community,” said Cindy Ramos-Davidson, CEO of your El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The 2010 El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce delegation will gather in the nation's capital, giving the representative an unparalleled opportunity to stay ahead of the curve in terms of Congressional policy, programs and priorities in this historic time. El Paso Delegates in participation will also have the premier opportunity to meet with key business representatives, national business authorities and federalcontracting directors during the HC to DC legislative trip. The annual HC to DC is held in partnership with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) 20th Legislative Conference.
“Our participation during this essential time will strengthen our voice and representation on the nation's future and will make sure our issues are near the top of the national business agenda,” added Ramos-Davidson.
Currently, our legislative leaders have an enormous obligation to stimulate and repair the nation’s economy. In addition, Congressional leadership is currently working to enforce policies that will have a direct impact on the future of our businesses.
If we expect to be included and represented effectively, the El Paso business community must deepen relationships in Congress and maintain a high profile with key decision makers. With so much at stake, the timing of the Legislative Conference is fortuitous.
“This is a strategic time to join us and be part of our strategic legislative delegation. Now is the time to make a difference and represent our community nationally,” added Ramos-Davidson.
