On Thursday, May 24, 2012 El Paso will be the center of Texas business practices during the 2012 Texas Governors’ Small Business Forum. The premier small business event in the Lone Star State is hosted through the collaboration of the Texas Governor’s Office, The Texas Workforce Commission and your El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce with the goal of providing the borderland business community an interactive business summit that will feature diverse seminars on important topics to take our local businesses to the next level.
The interactive business summit will host a variety sessions lead by statewide renowned leading experts on topics such as finding the right marketing to brand your business, using social media from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the El Paso Marriott, located at 1600 Airway Boulevard.

Above all, this event will provide the premier opportunity for our local entrepreneurs to access prime business information, network and dialog with state experts, state repre sentatives and local business representatives ,” said J. Antonio Rico, Chairman of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and President of ESEI.
The event will kick off at 7:30 a.m. with a Texas Breakfast to welcome participants. Following the welcoming breakfast, the Texas Workforce Commission will host a unique presentation that will provide local entrepreneurs guidance on how to find the perfect employee and help foster talent in your small business.
The morning session will host interactive discussions on Social Media, Marketing and Sales & Customer Service featuring state and national experts. Following participants will celebrate the Leading Texas Businesses in El Paso during the 2012 Governors’ Small Business Forum. During the luncheon the entrepreneurial spirit of our community will be celebrated with the special recognition of five local businesses that will be honored for making valuable contributions to our state.
The event will conclude with a set of breakout sessions, in which participants can obtain premier information on exporting, employing veterans and financing for your business success.
